Probably got the card behind the glass by using some slight of hand to get it out the pack and pass it to a member of the audience. Then this member of the audience gets it to a little glass container thing under the tank. Then when he throws the cards at the side of the tank a mirror goes up the inside side of the tank to show to show the card (making it look like its on the inside side of the tank). Then when he covers up the side with the cloth he actually pushs into some container thing and pushes is arm straight downwards (but because of the mirror it makes it look like its going across the tank. Pulls the card out, seals the entrance, pulls the cloth away. Sorted.
