I'm sure you guys have seen the adverts for it finally took the plunge and downloaded the first episode
and I really don't have a clue what the fuck this show is supposed to be about. Anybody else watched it? Am I really that thick or is the story
just not there?

Haven't seen it although have seen the advert a couple of times.

According to ImDB it is about 'Ray Donovan, a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in LA, can make anyone's problems disappear except those created by his own family.'

I know the basics and all that will watch the second episode and see if it all gels into something
the pilot was an hour long but I felt like I did when I decided to put it on, I just didn't know what was going on apart from a few things

I can't think of a single film that I have seen the lead actor in which I haven't found annoying which is probably why I've had little interest in watching it and if it makes no sense or the story is crap then I'll continue to live in bliss.

I had that thought when I first saw it which lead me to wikipedia and finding out that He was in the Scream films, Salt and Goon can't believe He's doing this show but it could be other peoples thing, I just can't follow it, Still haven't watched the second episode yet but if it's anything like the pilot I won't bother to carry on.
